Hi there, I’m Kim! I’m an illustrator/animator/graphic novelist and also a college professor. I love stories more than I love the beach. Well, almost as much. Maybe it's a tie. My first career was serving as a beach lifeguard, then came the career in animation, and now I’ve combined both of those passions into my graphic novel series: Surfside Girls.

With the release of book number four, the story of the Surfside Girls has finally come to a close, but don’t fret - you can still go on your very own adventures with Sam and Jade!
I took it upon myself to develop and produce these dolls as a way to express my gratitude for all your continued support for the Surfside Girls series over the years - now you can take home a little slice of Surfside to keep the story going! These dolls were made in collaboration with LaLovie, an independent women-owned design company based in the USA. Each element of the doll kit has been handcrafted with care in my California studio.
Not only do these kits make for the perfect screenless activity, they also help your child develop new skills as they learn to sew and construct their very own dolls!
